SUMMARY
KWC Performing Arts’ summer University / Young Professional Leadership Team works as a unit within the daily operations of our three summer performing arts camps. This program is designed to allow future job-seekers to experience corporate and professional theatre culture, practice working with a team to achieve goals, and develop their talents within the structure of a non-profit performing arts company. KWC’s student and young professional alumni have gone on to be successful working professionals that apply their skills in countless ways - not only in the arts, but as leaders in a number of industries.
The Arts Administration position is a well-rounded opportunity to experience pieces of most areas of arts non-profit daily operations.
This is a full-time, paid summer internship, ranging from June 1st – August 1st, 2023. Throughout the internship, we will provide continuous training and performance feedback to ensure you build the skills necessary to succeed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assists Senior Administrative Assistant with intake, correspondence, registration, communication with parents, and event preparation
• Assists Business Operations Director with simple accounting
• Assists Development Director with data management
• Assists Marketing/PR/Social Media with collateral and postings
• Represents our company on the phone and in-person
• Participates in camp-wide fundraising events
• Some errand-running
REQUIREMENTS
- Must love working with kids of all ages
- Strong Microsoft Office, Canva, and Adobe Suite skills preferred
- Experience with graphic design is a plus
- Ability to be adaptable and improvise when needed
- Self-starter
- Curiosity to learn from anyone, anywhere
