Video Creative Coordinator

The Video Creative Coordinator spearheads inspiration and creative oversight for the production of video content used to teach and inspire Hobby Lobby Customers across various digital marketing and social media platforms. The Video Creative Coordinator collaborates with Team Leaders, clients, and cross-functional teams to transform creative vision into final output. This individual must exhibit outstanding communication, sound judgment, maintain current knowledge of industry trends, and guide team members in achieving the highest possible standards for all content.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Takes direction from the Team Leader and develops initial creative strategies to drive creative development through final output for a variety of creative projects
  • Conceptualizes and compiles inspirational visuals to demonstrate core creative vision and ensures design integrity from concept through execution, including inspiration and imagery Selection
  • Creates outlines and story boards for clarity of purpose, consideration of audience, and appropriate creative and technical approach
  • Communicates with clients to gather job information and materials to establish honest and realistic expectations based on time-lines, budget, resources, etc.
  • Assesses workload and resources to assist Team Leader with task assignment
  • Ensures creative vision is communicated and executed by attending production and photo shoots, and collaborating with the Video Production Team during post production
  • Leads and mentors team in the creative process, applying research, analytics, brand insights and supply knowledge
  • Ensures all imagery needed is produced and will fit into specified templates
  • Ensures all aspects of creative jobs stay trend-forward, original and imaginative
  • Provides crafting expertise and collaboration as needed
  • Relays feedback to collaborating team members effectively and diplomatically
  • Balances client desires, business requirements and design standards appropriately
  • Mentors team to problem-solve and present solutions for Team Leader and clients
  • Navigates conflicting opinions while maintaining established strategies and vision
  • Serves as point of contact with cross-functional teams and represents the interests of the client in delivering job information, negotiating time-lines, etc.
  • Builds strong relationships with clients and serves them as a credible and trusted advisor
  • Suggests changes to improve performance or process
  • Completes assignments on time according to art direction and the needs of the client
  • Maintains current and expanding knowledge of design trends and learns new techniques, tools and technology as required
  • Informs Team Leader of any work-related issues
  • Enters and monitors project information in MARVIN and prepares various reports
  • Follows all Warehouse procedures
  • Works closely with peers and sets a tone of partnership between teams
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work station and set spaces
  • Follows all Art/Creative safety policies and procedures including the proper use of PPE (personal protective equipment)
  • Adapts to additional duties and tasks
  • Contributes to team effort by fulfilling responsibilities with a positive attitude

Requirements
  • Firm grasp on various marketing platforms, channels, and best practices including social, video, digital, and email marketing
  • A solid understanding of video production including story board creation, on-screen graphics, and music selection
  • Determined listener and self-starter who follows and gives direction carefully and clearly, and can work under minimal supervision
  • An exceptional eye for design, composition, and merchandising
  • Strong creative conceptualization skills
  • Passion for design, art trends, and style
  • Current and expanding knowledge of industry trends related to overall design and themes, colors, patterns, textures, and fabrics used for furniture design, home decor, jewelry, etc.
  • Excellent relationship-building, collaboration, and leadership skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong time-management skills
  • Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to give, accept, and apply critique and feedback
  • Ability to work independently or with a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, reflecting the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks without effecting quality or polish
  • Ability to work in variety of indoor, outdoor, and warehouse conditions
  • Ability to repetitively lift up to 20 pounds while bending, stooping, and climbing up and down ladders or stairs
  • Ability to repetitively push and pull
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time
  • Able to occasionally be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and potentially hazardous materials
  • Proficient Mac and Microsoft Office skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Basic knowledge of CaptureOne
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to perform Key Responsibilities as described with or without accommodation
  • Ability to perform job duties at the corporate office in Oklahoma City (Accommodation for location flexibility, such as telecommuting, is not available.)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Advertising or in-house agency experience preferred
  • Hands-on experience with a variety of craft mediums preferred (i.e. paper crafting, sewing, floral arrangement, jewelry, calligraphy, painting, etc.)
  • Professional styling experience preferred
  • 2 or more years professional video experience preferred
