Whitley Penn Creative Design Intern – Plano, TX (UNT)

Summer/Fall 2022 Creative Design Intern
 
The seasonal creative design intern provides support to the marketing department and needs of the firm. This role will assist with general and niche strategic marketing plans, programs and initiatives. The position contributes to the creative design and content to support the firm’s brand strategy for collateral materials, the firm’s web site, social media, e-newsletters and other social content. This position requires a deadline driven; self-starter who can serve professionals at all levels in a client-orientated environment and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. This position provides assistance for Whitley Penn hosted and sponsored meeting and events. Ability to work independently and the willingness to function as a part of a Team and work alongside Creative Designer.

Qualifications:
 
  • Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Graphic Design, Communications, or other-related field
  • Exhibit proficiency in creating and editing various graphic design, web design, publishing, and multimedia software applications including Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop, Illustrator and In-Design), Microsoft Office suite and various social media platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
  • Knowledge in photography and videography is a plus.
  • Learn departmental processes. Understand how your assigned tasks are related to the overall department/project objectives.
  • Identify and utilize relevant technology and tools to perform assigned tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Coordinate execution of projects as assigned by the Director of Marketing.
  • Contribute to the creative design and content of collateral materials, the firm’s web site, social media, e-newsletters and other social content that supports the firm’s brand strategy.
  • Provide assistance for Firm hosted and sponsored meeting and events.
  • Ability to effectively manage detailed projects from start to finish under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Effective Communication Skills - Articulate in speech; communicates in a clear, fact-based manner.
  • Asks concise, targeted questions in order to fulfill objectives and task completion.
  • Strong desire to take ownership of the position along with the desire to grow and develop as a professional.
